The titular story is a particularly strong commentary on our political reality, where out conscience is under constant barrage from untruth and uncertainty. One child has an inborn interest and enthusiam for making all things artistic, one child considers themselves incapable of creating art, and the third has lots of big goals but less patience. Knowing that the Village will soon be closed to all outsiders, Matty must make the trek through the dangerous Forest to find Seer's daughter and convince her to return with him before it is too late and he loses her forever. As always, he receives admiration while smiling in the face of adversity. When all the tentative analysis is done, the mystery still remains, and she's the first to acknowledge this fact.
